One Act Play, Awesome
Last Friday was the acting day of our one act play. It was a day I would never forget because it was very perfect. I wanted to say to everyone who attended this activity that we did a good job, especially to Jean, the director of junior. All we did for this play was very worthwhile. The award we got was not only an affirmation for our acting but also an honor to every member. We got the best play, the best director, the best actor, the best actress, and the best costume and make-up. Jean, the winner of the best director and the best play, had spent a lot of time preparing the whole script and directing all of us before the show time began. You really deserved these awards. I saw you were tired and anxious about the play, and even had told me that you dreamed we were acting before the play was ready to present. That was really funny and touching. Angel, the winner of the best actress, fully showed her mean attitude to Kim. Every time I saw you spoke your mean line to Kim, it could make me laugh broadly. In the play, you and Kim were made to each other, so Kim you were the best actor in my heart. Fion, I will never forget your gay-style dance. Fiona, I love your tone of speaking. Me, I want to say thank you to Jean. This is my first time to play a role and to be a handsome young lad to seduce Kim. I love it. Finally, I wanted to say thank you to Pauline and Branda because we are the best make-up group. Without your help, I couldn’t complete everyone’s costume and make-up. Branda, I love you draw the hair on my temple. Thanks freshmen and sophomore. You were great. This is an unforgettable experience of mine. Now, I anticipate the drama next semester.

I Can't Live without Computer
If my life without computer, what would it be? I can’t image that because I use computer everyday. As now, I use my computer to write a journal. I use my computer to look up the dictionary. I use my computer to search information. It seems that computer is part of my life. Actually, it is completely part of my life.
Everyday, when I go home, I turn on the computer, using it to listen to music or broadcast and even watch movie. It entertains me a lot especially when I am bored and want to kill time. Computer can offer me a variety of good choices to pick up. There are numerous on-line games or chat rooms open to everyone. I can select the news not only in Taiwan but also from every place of the world.
As long a as I log on the internet, there is the largest database of the world offering to everyone. If I need to search information to do my homework, I can merely key in some key words and get huge related information at home, which is effortless. I am able to read the information page by page instead of store by store, grasping the data quickly and precisely.
Besides, there are more and more on-line shopping stores that is safe and reputable. I like to purchase stuff through the internet because it is quick, convenient, and effective. Even my mother sometimes bid me buy the on-line products. I have bought the most fancy and special product through the internet is a product that can clear out cockroach not using toxic chemical but electricity.

However, I think it is a beneficial change for my life because it makes my life become more convenient and effective than before. I’m able to use the least time to do more things through computer. Acting Is Not Easy
This semester I joined the act play of our grade. We have spent a lot of time practicing the line and the movement. During this time, I found that acting a character not only acts well your own character but also collaborates well with your partners. Thus, the complete show will be a perfect performance.
When we were practicing, every step and movement should be very smooth; otherwise, it would look awkward and unnatural. Although we all know that we are acting, we get full involved in the characters’ personality. As long as we can persuade ourselves into the fact that we are the character we act, we are able to persuade others into the atmosphere that we make up. Because of it, we can be any character we want to be.
Through the acting, I also found that we not only focus on our own character but also notice other actor’s personalities. Such being the case, I can perform my character more natural for a play is not a monologue. Through the observation of others’ playing, I also know why the character I play has such a reaction. Therefore, I understand how to make a respond to my partners naturally and smoothly. After practicing and practicing, I can get the feel of the character I act.
Besides, if there are many actors on the stage on the same time, and some of them are without lines, it is the hardest part for them to act on the stage. Because they don’t have any line, they can just use their body language to communicate their feeling with the audiences. I think that it is the most difficult part for me to play, yet it is the most challenging part for me to act as well.
Above all, acting is not really simple as I think before. Acting well a character is not merely playing well your own character, too. It is a team work. Finally, I hope that the day we play to the whole department will be a perfect performance.

Made in Taiwan
In the past, Taiwan was considered as a country of low-priced OEM. I think about a movie called ‘Armageddon”. In a section of the movie, the actor said “America, Russia. All made in Taiwan.” when the machine broke down. In another movie “Fatal Attraction “, the actor opened a broken umbrella, then saying that “Made in Taiwan.” But now this phenomenon has been completely reversed. The trade of Taiwan not only focuses on manufacture of a great quantity but also on products of a brand, and even the producing industry turned its developing goal into high-technology and high-profit.
For example, IPOD, a well-known MP3 company from America, is the best-sale MP3 and MP4 series in the whole world. As long as the new arrival of the product promotes on the market, it is certain to attract somebody’s attention, especially those who have high interest in technological gadget. These products are famous for their delicate quality and fashionable design. Therefore, Taiwanese are able to be very proud of the parts of IPOD made in Taiwan for this brand is an assurance of its quality. That is, the parts made in Taiwan are an assurance of quality now.
Another example is that a company, Acer, is famous for its PC, and sells all over the world. There are a lot of PC companies in the world, and the market of the technological products is very competitive. If a company doesn’t care about the quality of its products, it will be replaced, even closing down soon. However, Acer, our native brand of PC, is well accepted and purchased by people from all over the world. Now, Acer is the third biggest PC enterprise in the world. It stands for the fact that we are not merely able to produce the best parts of a gadget but also to design the product of high-technology.
Above all, with the developing of the technology, the products in Taiwan do not stand for a bad quality at all. People in Taiwan can speak out that we have many best products of quality, and we are supposed to support and purchase the products made in Taiwan as well.

word system
Reading can be a lifelong pleasure, and it’s a long way to go. As long as we open our eyes, everything we watch contains the characters of words. A word can be a concrete or abstract symbol, and word system constitutes a powerful domination of our lives.
As in communication, we use words to describe how we feel and transmit our feeling to the one we talk to. Under this system, we share our feeling with others through words. For example, there is a powerful feeling in our hearts, and we want to search a supportive or a sympathetic companion to comfort our weary heart. If someone adds some suggestion to us, it might be like a compass of a boat in case of getting lost.
As in reading, book is an extreme using of words regardless of the length of the words because the creation of a book is a combination of the author’s thought and the powerful strength of words. Mind is infinite; on the contrary, word is finite. Although a word might seem plain, the combination of common words can create a mighty strength of imagination. For instance, different readers read the same book producing different feeling from the material that the book provides you. According to people who have different living experiences, they will have different explanation and point of view from the same book. Besides, gender is supposed to have influence on the decipherment of reading.

college life so far
Composition teacher asked me that did you feel blue or uncomfortable when you entered college. His question made me conjure up the first sight I got to NCHU. Although that was not an unpleasant memory, it impressed me a lot. I would never forget the first day I came to NCHU and the first sight I saw when I arrived the dormitory.
At that day, I came to the door of my room, then knocking on the door. The girl who opened the door for me was a Thai girl with a fair skin and delicate facial features. When I got into the room, I saw another roommate of mine tumbling on the bed. She is a Turkish girl with blond hair, white skin, and deep facial features. Two of them welcomed me with a broad smile, and I felt warm. Though at first I didn’t know why my roommates were foreigners, I got well along with them soon. We all knew that there must be cultural difference between nations, such as religion. My Turkish roommate wondered why I had no religious belief. She asked me how I could lead a life without any faith. For me, I led my life with a faith of positive attitude. For her, she kept going her life with a faith of praying to God, and praying gave her strength and courage to face the ups and downs of life.
Through a year of getting on with my roommates, I learned that how to respect difference among people whatever your nation, belief, and background. I cannot expect that every person I encounter will completely have the similar sense of value of mine. It’s a great experience for me to appreciate and get used to the difference. College life is hilarious and colorful so far because I have many chances to meet a variety of people from all over the place.

a long-existing problem of mine
Recently, I found a problem of mine which I have had for a long time, but I didn’t take it serious. My problem is that I am lack of time management. Now I know if I keep ignoring it, it will become more severe than now.
I know that I am always short of taking things in order, so it’s easy for me to forget the order of doing things. Finally, it will cause the piled plans in a mess. I need to learn how to use the least time to do things effectively and make an appropriate schedule. I don’t want to watch my disorder living to gradually destroy the rest of my life. Although it’s natural for people to enjoy a life of joyride, it can’t occupy most part of our time. Otherwise, we will learn nothing except enjoyment, and the tasks which we should do strict are unable to be accomplished roughly. Excess is not a good way for doing everything. Trying to find a good balance and learn how to stay balance is an adequate way to develop myself. I don’t want to pile things up until the last moment. I am sure that it will definitely make me lose balance, even leading me out of control. It’s not good to let things be.
If I can organize the things I need to do perfectly and effectively, I will have more time to develop my interest. God is equal to everyone. He gives everyone twenty-four hours a day. That’s true because my sister and I were also the members of them. Last weekend, we went to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store. We seemed to be possessed as stepping into the department. We saw a lot of crazy women including us buying cosmetics and other stuffs without second consideration, because the price was so alluring that we can’t but buy them. Especially, my sister, a crazy shopper, paid the bill by credit card not only without second thought but also without a blink. Thanks to my reason, I was not out of control.
I think that executives of department store were really full use of people’s shopping habit and well-understand customer’s purchasing psychology and weakness. I observe that arrangement of floor setting is highly related to genders’ consuming habit and customer’s purchasing power and willingness. They know that the majority of consumers are women, so most of the department store put the cosmetics and high-heel shoes at first-floor and these two things are the most popular types in woman’s buying list. Next, most of the department store put the teenager’s fashionable clothes at second floor, and they aim at the young girls’ clothes.The third floor is still woman’s cloth, but the age group aims at mature and elegant ladies. kick off aged factor
There are more and more young people getting used to staying up late and leading lives as a night owl. I am no exception. But why? Actually, I really don't know why. I can only say that night time is far more beautiful and tranquil than day time for me. Although I always know that staying up is not good for health, I can't resist doing it day by day, again and again just as an addict. And I think that I am much more awake at mid-night. At this period, I feel calm and soothing and my thoughts are clearer, too. I can do things in the night time much more efficiently than that in day time. Some people tell me it is just a habit. I get accustomed to following the disordered biological clock. People are supposed to go to bed early and get up early. If I keep staying up, it will definitely damage my health condition and quick the pace of aging. When I heard bad effect of staying up, the aging, it is a thunderclap for me. I am REALLY afraid of getting old. I have already had a mature face. However, if I look aged, that would be a disaster and tragedy for me because I love to make myself look pretty. I can't accept hearing the word, "aged," especially it is said to me. In spite of the reason that I like to stay up, now I've made up my mind to get rid of this terrible and awful habit, not only for my health but also for my beauty. Ha ha ha ha ……. I am serious. Wish me luck.

A friend in need is a friend indeed
This Wednesday is one of my intimates’ date of birth. When it talks about this friend, I have completely appreciation to him, and it’s a long story to tell our relationship. Precisely, we are junior high schoolmates. After graduation, we’d never met each other, not even speaking of knowing each other. Since as we were in junior high, we didn’t have much attention to and were unfamiliar with each other. Several years later, in a reunion, we met. Between normal conversations, we were talking about where we studied. Before that, I had graduated from college, then enrolling NCHU as a transfer student. In a surprise, he said that he was studying there and a transfer student as well. What a coincident we are!
After that day, we’re always keeping in touch, caring for each other when we’re in need. For instance, Taichung was struck by a strong typhoon two weeks ago. The rain and wind were intense. I could hardly walk smoothly on the street, but I had nothing to eat, needing to buy something. Otherwise, on the stormy weekend I would be hungry to death in my little suite. But just at this time, my roommate knocked my door, giving me a full pack of food that contains cookies, instant noodles, chocolate, and some snacks. It was totally out of my surprise.
How nice and considerate a person is! He always gives me a helping head when I need help in emergency. I don’t know how to describe my deep appreciation to him. October 17th was his birthday. Not merely did I want to yell HAPPY BIRTHDAY at you but to say a truly and sincerely thank to you. Yesterday, he sprained his left ankle while playing basketball. Now he can scarcely walk as usual. If you need any help, just call me without any hesitation, because we are friends. It’s my turn to give you a helping hand, so I’ll welcome you to bother me at anytime. You are one of the most important people of mine.

Annoyinggggggg Typhoon
Last weekend, I planned to go to Kau Mei Damp with my friends. Unfortunately, there was a strong typhoon coming. We had been eager to go there for a long time. I have never been Kau Mei before, and I heard there is beautiful view, so I look forward to going to that place very much. I prepared to take many photos to make them as a keepsake originally. I depicted a fabulous picture in my mind with a nice view and a group of bosom friends with broad smile. We could play around under the wonderful scenery. We could see the gorgeous sunset together. We could laugh and have fun together. We could eat the local cuisine together.
But this typhoon totally screwed our plan up. How annoying it is! Heavy rain and storm completely blew our well-arranged tour away and washed our enthusiasm away as well. With the storm was calming down, our passion was being cooling down due to the reason that before the tour we had spent much time to arrange the time. Every one of us spaced a same day as possible as we can. We had a long time no seeing each other; therefore, all of us were very looking forward to this trip. Owing to the typhoon, we have no choice but to cancel it finally.
Oh, my dear friends, I missed all of you so much. When do we get together again?? Although this time we can’t go out together, we are unable to be defeated by the weather. Our friendship is much stronger than storm. I want to play with you, guys. We can start to re-plan our trip. Don’t let this annoying incident breaking our interests. We are supposed to watch the forecast and pray to GOD next time. No more rain and storm to blow away our GETTOGETHER， MY DEARS.

Lust, Caution
Few days ago, me and my friend went to see a movie "Lust Caution" that is directed by Ang Lee. I went to watch the movie not because of its cast but because of its slogan, " Lust is restricted easily; affection not." The theme of this movie is related to affection under restriction.
The story talks about in World War Second era Shanghai. Wong Chia Chi is a Chinese college student who gets involved with a drama club after meeting Kuang Yu Min, a charismatic fellow classmate. While Wong is happy performing on the stage, Kuang asks her to take on a very dangerous role in real life. She is to transform herself into Mrs. Mak and make friends with the wife of a major Japanese collaborator, Mr. Yee, only to ensnare him into an affair so that her Kuang and his adherents can kill him. However, the plan fails to work out at the time, but after several years pass, Kuang re-enters Wong's life. Accordingly, he asks her to resume their deadly mission. She plays the role of Mrs. Mak again. This time she successfully bumps into Mr. Yee's life. Their love affair becomes more and more intense. Just near the end of the mission, she fails because she reveals a clue to let Mr. Yee notice that he is in the snare. The falsehood is the cunning scheme; nevertheless, the affection between Wong and Yee sprouts sneakingly and it’s hard to restrain the feeling.
After watching this movie, I feel quenchless and weary. I feel weary not owing to the length of the movie but the delicate depiction of the facial expression. It is easy to stir up my emotion from a frown or a smile of the characters. The atmosphere of the movie is oppressed and plaintive due to the background of that era, under the suppression of the war. War might transform people’s values into abnormality. Human still have his or her nature I think.

However, the plan fails to work out at the time, but after several years pass, Kuang re-enters Wong's life. Accordingly, he asks her to resume their deadly mission. She plays the role of Mrs. Mak again. This time she successfully bumps into Mr. Yee's life. Their love affair becomes more and more intense. Just near the end of the mission, she fails because she reveals a clue to let Mr. Yee notice that he is in the snare. The falsehood is the cunning scheme; nevertheless, the affection between Wong and Yee sprouts sneakingly and it’s hard to restrain the feeling.
After watching this movie, I feel quenchless and weary. I feel weary not owing to the length of the movie but the delicate depiction of the facial expression. It is easy to stir up my emotion from a frown or a smile of the characters. The atmosphere of the movie is oppressed and plaintive due to the background of that era, under the suppression of the war. War might transform people’s values into abnormality. Human still have his or her nature I think.

the philosophy of life
Life can be short, but we can make it longer and more meaningful as long as we have a positive attitude toward it. It would be definitely greatful that if we always look at the bright side of things. Not only do we have a positive attitude toward life but we could also have a active spirit.
From time to time, we plan to do something; nevertheless, we just talk in word, not taking action. Day after day time after time, it is sure that things we missed are at times more than those we did. Only when we lose someone or something that is very important to us do we reget or realize what is the meaning of life. Why do people tend to live in regret? I guess that we speak too much,but do less. We always have excuses before we do something which is planned to be performed before. Therefore, we put the things behind. At the end, we are swallowed by routine work,doing the same things again and again day by day. Gradually, we become sluggish and forget how to taste the beauty of life, especially in work force because of busyness. The people of that group fend for living not only for themselves but also for their family, doing everything might consider about themselves but also their own families. Under these excuses, the relationship between people to people might become more isolated because we over-emphasize and too care about ourselves or our own things. We spend less and less time dining with our dear friends, families, or relatives. Stress from work follows with alienation and isolation. But as long as we live in the world in a day, we need to get along with people,especially spending more time getting on with anyone we cherish. As we lose,otherwise, we will never fill up the regret in our hearts any more. So cherish everyone we love,and everything we have. Always have positive attitude toward life and with energy. I tell it to myself and embed it in my heart as a motto.
